Default Boost Whistle

I have a 1999 GS-T

About 2 weeks ago I installed a Greddy Profec B spec II in my car, and ever cince then, I have been hearing this loud whistling noise, really high pitched, it starts at about 10psi, and it only happens when im giving it about 60/85% gas, sometimes it sounds when I give it 100% gas, it sounds like its coming from the intake side of the engine, but somtimes it sounds like its coming from the turbo Im not sure if its a blown turbo or a vacumm leak, does anyone know what it could be? thanks for the help

sounds like a leak somewhere, check all the fittings etc...maybe also try adjusting your bov if you can, try tightening it up some

you either have a crack in the exhaust housing or your turbo is finally on its last leg. take the inlet pipe off and check for shaft play, bend fins, or broken fins. the sound is definitely your turbo.

It most likely is a leak coming from somewhere. I too had this high-pitched whistle that you are describing. Come to find out, my HKS SSQ and the flange popped out of the I/C pipe (was working on the car that day and I had to remove it then re-install it), thus creating the whistle pitched sound.

Check all around for boost leaks and try checking/adjusting the BOV, as mentioned before.
