Default Eclipse Q's

Ok I need help an if this is a repost just put me in the right direction.

I'm looking at a 2001 Mitsu Eclipse with Greddy Turbo system but im not sure about it. I hear horror stories about dropped tranny's from simple grocery runs all the time and I'm afraid if I buy it it'll be more problems than fun.

that makes absolutely no sense.
i hate the generalization that ALL dsm's do nothing but break.. if you take care of the god damn thing it's not gonna break down any more than the next car. I agree, stick with the 1 and 2 G, dont beat the piss out of it and you'll keep a healthy car if you even get it that way.

thats true but you do have to admit they tend to be unreliable i have a 1990 the first year they came out. pruobles everywhere. yeah ecus shorting out not a maitiance error mafs going dead not a maitiance error. they have a very bad rap. funny thing every dealer ship i went to i told them i have a talon for a trade they didnt even have to look at it, they just said "no thanks". so its not that they were givin a bad rap the car earned it. and behing i have one of the first ones to be put out on the market, the problems were plentiful.
