This kinda reminds me of that "Street Racing" program on TV about 2 years ago. They put up a DSM against some honda... They had 2K to modify them for the track...its too bad those dorks didn't know how to MOD a DSM. They put spray on it before they did anything else. No big 16G, or exhaust mods.. no front mount...nothing... As a matter of fact I don't remember them doing much else other than spray.... They would have beaten that girls Honda even worse than it did. Honda doesnt make a "BAD" motor... they can put down some good numbers because they weigh about as much as a gocart... But, putting it up against a DSM is not a smart thing... a 4G63 is just a pissed off motor. AWD + 4G63 = Beat Down X 2

i agree with some of what you guys are saying, but a swapped crx with a good motor will be a good run against a gs-t. a gsx would own him enough on the line to stay out ahead, but a good crx can hang quite easily, not to mention the MUCH greater reliability factor.
Okay.. If you really think that a crx with only vtec can keep up. Ill race with my STOCK gs-t with a blown head gasket running on only 3/4 cylinders DRIVING IN REVERSE!! Vtec dont mean shit. Besides slow

aight... here's how i see it, and I'm not biased to either side... i have a lotta friends with sub 12 second DSM's and I also own a honda for the time being and hate that slow piece of shit, but i have a 7thgen aswell so it's a lil more understandable...
anywayz, this guys comes on here saying that a "slightly" modded eclipse vs a "built" CRX with some sort of VTEC swap to cater to the "built" performance.... now not to jump to conclusions here, but he and his friend are gonna have to lay down specifics on what a "built" motor consists of, and what VTEC motor this is... there is a lotta blindspots in this ever going HOnda/DSM call out here... a CRX with a B16 swap and catback exhaust will throw down a low 14 second time slip right there... a 2g GS-T with a full turbo back and intake might do that same too... but this guys friend has a slight point on the CRX's far superior lightweight to the eclipse...
what also needs to be stated is what year the eclipse is, and what model... everything has to be put into perspective before you try to call out a "HONDA" and i like how he called out any honda any day with a DSM... have you been sleeping with your head up your ass too long, or have you not seen the few honda's that run 12's and 11's on built motors all day too??? It's a little biased to post an arguement on your side of the story saying a DSM will beat a honda all day long when you post it in a Mitsu Tech forum... post it in the general car chat next time, would be more interesting to read than everyone that owns a mitsu saying it'll own a honda all day...
in the end... its more helpful to post an arguement when you have all the facts on both "built" and "slightly modded" cars before hand... Post the honda-tech link please... i wanna see the honda sides biased responses too... lol i love these wars...
