alright so i got 4 ppl saying a dsm will beat the shit outta a honda any day, wheres more ppl, i know more than 4ppl know a dsm will spank a honda.

 

hmm.. im not sure what to say anymore.

 

tell your friend if all hes got is VTEC, then hes got a better chance of turning gay then having a car fast enough to keep up with the modded DSM.

 

my galant ways almost 4000lbs and a rice i mean race that crx for titles any day of the week. i used to have a crap ass honda. if you dump half the money it takes to make a civic fast into a dsm you it will still be atleast a sec faster in the 1/4.

 

You could make an argument for both sides on this one given a reasonable budget. People have gotten CRXs down the track in the low 12's on just a big shot of nitrous on a stock engine, and slicks. Overall I'd lean towards the dsm beating out the Honda with an equivalent budget because the Honda pretty much always has to factor in an engine swap to start towards being truly competitive.

 

look i use to have a honda and trust me a swapped crx vs a slightly modded dsm has no chance....i use to have a swapped crx and i needed something faster and bigger....thats why i own a dsm now....

 

I've yet to lose to a Honda yet (and this is with my very, very short mod list and tiny ass stock T-25 turbo). I've taken numeorus Civics/Accords/Preludes/Integras/CRX's from digs and roll-ons. Last CRX I remember taking on, was some primered out one. The guy had quite a bit of work done to it too. Had a nice chat with him and he was a very cool guy. He was suprised that I pulled on him as much as I did though.

Not saying that I can beat ANY Honda out there (*cough* NSX, S2000, or any other highly modified Honda), but thus far, I haven't been taken down by one yet. It's been a good while since I have "raced" anyone though.
