Hmm, lets see. Maybe you can't read but, maybe i wasn't clear in my first question. Here goes again. I have a 96 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. With about 95k miles on it. The motor smokes and needs a rebuild. I was wondering if the Chrysler 2.4L shares any parts. I DO NOT want to put the Mitsubishi 2.4 into this eclipse. I was just thinking that if the 2.0 and 2.4 are both Chrysler based engines that they might share oh lets say, the block. That way i could MAYBE do something alittle different than just adding a power adder. If knowbody knows i'll just mind my own business. Thanks

Well then why dont you go to a dodge/chrysler board and ask them. This is mitsubishi tech not doge tech. You did not say in your first post you were looking at puting a 2.4 from a chrysler into your car so beeing this is mitsu tech we figured that you were asking about a mitsu motor. :bbb:

touche tom... i concur.

you are asking mitsubishi guys about mopar tech... its possible that the 420A shares the same block and head design as the 424A. the 2.4L may just be a stroked version... but dont listen to me, im just a know it all that doesnt put my knowlege to use. better talk to someone in dodge tech.

when you mention 2.4 in a mitsu forum were assuming your talking about the 4g64, btw a 4g63 stroked is a 2.3, i would just rebuild your block should save time and you can be sure that your trans will not be an issue
