if its a 2002 i would try to get it out the door for 10k....and eh they are reliable cars.....but slow even the GTs. So if you're looking for a reliable daily driver i would say go for it, but not for over 10k.

their reliability is closer to that of a Kia than a Ford. Do not buy a mitsus our cars our unreliable as hell and they still are. Mitsubishi is the only Japanese automaker not posting a profit. Don't buy a Jap or a German Car. Do yourself and this economy a favor buy American.

btw. the Mercury Sable.Ford Taurus 2002-2005 are all more reliable than the accords maximas altimas ect. I base this on CR testing. So in short i reccomend a 24V V6 taurus or sable. Made in America! I'm sure I am going to get bashed for these comments but what the hell.

Hell no, don't buy a Taurus. Seriously, I think the worst car I've ever driven is the current generation Taurus. A daily driver doesn't have to be fast, but the Taurus goes beyond the limits of "slow" and into the realm of moped and city bus acceleration. You can brake torque it on a wet road and it won't break traction. You can floor it at 20 and have a short conversation with your passenger before having to consider letting off a bit to keep pace at 55. As far as I could tell from driving one it's at least 2-3 seconds slower in the quarter than the next slowest car I've driven, which is my mom's Pathfinder, and that did solid 18.0's at the track, so the Taurus is something like a low 20 second car. Gah, the craptacularity is overwhelming.

But yes the bottom-end SOHC engine is slow. Reliable but slow.
