Default type s

I got into an arguement with someone yesterday about the type-s bov's. As far as I know they are total pieces of shit and your better off with a 1g/crushed 1g then a type-s. Well he is the kind of kid who has his parents buy him a car(04 evoVIII) then thinks he is the shit and was looking for a bov and he said a bunch of evo owners online told him to buy a type-s. Any of you evo guys agree and anyone else who has had a type-s have any issues on it or like/dont like?

there really is no dieffernce between type s and stock 1st gen well its actually more CONVENIENT getting a type s instead of getting a 1st gen bov crushed (well for thatkid since he sounds like he has a fat pocket) type s is known to hold up to 25 lbs psi before leak while a 1st gen bov only can hold 18. well thats IMO

Nah he just has the case of parents have a fat pocket. I have known some type-s's to leak at 14lbs and crushed 1g bov's hold over 27lbs with no leaks

I've had good luck with my typeS. Holding boost obviously isn't the only function of a BOV, if it doesn't release a sufficient amount of air, its not doing its job either.

Turbo Dodge Modded 1g BPV for life! If one doesn't bypass enough air, run two!

I have seen them personally leak before 20lbs of boost, and more then just one. From what I have seen no fast dsm's are running a type-s.
