I had a type s on my car for 2 1/2 years and never had one problem with it. It's not the biggest or baddest made but it does the job well. When comparing it to a 1g bov the type s had a noticible larger valve.

It's only going to use more gas when you're at full throttle, unless you routinely see full boost at part throttle. When you go full throttle I'd speculate that you're not concerned about gas mileage.

i liked my type-s for a while, it never gave me any problems other than the annoying sound it made everytime i let off... thats my only problem w/ the bov, it seems like EVERYONE has it, this thread proves it... almost everyone i know bought the type s like the day after the bought their car and then got rid of it for something else... i have an rfl and and i dont really like it. but thats just my .02

well i must say i just put down over 400whp and the type s is still going strong, and this was at 21psi. so id say its probably the way ppl have it set. by the way my type s is 4-5 yrs old.

What setup are you running? 400+whp is pretty good on 21lbs of boost.

400 whp... dang it, I want that setup! If only it didn't cost so much... get what you pay for, but not if you can't afford to pay it.
