The only thing you need to "check" is your comprehension skills. Nowhere in this thread did anyone mention 2nd gen spiders. He is talking about a 2000 eclipse. Noone ever said there werent any 2nd gen spiders

So I have pretty much gotten that the 2000+ Eclipse is not a wise choice for racing. I don't think it is a bad car at all, but from what I have read it probally won't suit my needs with my budget ya know. Thanks for the info everybody. Still lookin at some 90's Eclipses though...

buy a 1st gen TSi awd and dump $10k into it and oyu will have a sick daily driver

If you want to go fast in the dsm world buy a 1g awd. If you want to go fast and look good buy a 2g awd and plan on dumping some money. If you want to look good and go fast from a roll get a 2g gst. If you just want to go somewhere and look good and dont care about performance get a 2g spider. If you want to go fast from a roll and look extra good get a 2g gst spider. If you want to look ugly and make everyone think your slow get a gvr4. Did I cover everything?

That covers it. And about the all motor..... I really cannot say what I am going to do until I get the car ya know. We can go on forever about it, but I have just learned from you all, regarding the topic.
