i would go for an evo, you wont ever get anywhere on the 1/4 with 2wd. so its really if you want awd or fwd. evo are sedans also so you can carry friends everywhere.

My opinion is biased anyway. Have you driven or ridden in an evo? I don't like its lack of sports-car feel. You sit in a 2g eclipse and its very much a cockpit. The evo is a completely different machine, I didn't care for it, felt like I was sitting in a 4 door sedan with some seats that don't really belong. Obviously a personal preference, drive before you buy (or sell your old car).

This decision is far from being made, don't get me wrong. These are just thoughts that are beginning to go through my head. A lot of money is coming in for me, I'm sick of my car being out of commission. I want a reliable, quick car. Of course I'll test drive it lol. I'm actually going to test drive it today.

Lemme help ya out here.... aaron... you were telling me how insurance is a bitch now to keep up with or whatever... ok... you have a 97 Eclipse GST, insurance is like ok it's 8 year old car it's cheaper to fix, aka we'll cut ur losses a little and give ya a decent rate, buy an EVO and insurance says ok, EVO= brand new car, TURBO, and more power, Insurance if you even get covered will be even more of a bitch, and u sure as hell will not have ANY cash lying around for ANY mods with the car payments and the insurance payments... sorry bro... but i say swap a fresh JDM 6-bolt in with 30K miles or so or whatever, and buy a little 2G beater car...

First of all.... Insurance wont be that bad. They will insure me. Well put primary driver as my mom or osmthing like that. Second, like i said money wont be a big problem for me anymore. First, tripling my income without the money coming from the 2 jobs I'm working. Second, my dad is finally giving child support to my month so 1000 is coming to me each month... I can handle car plus insurance with just that 1000. Meanwhile, my mom said shed split payments.

Parents finally willing to help me out with something.

I went and looked at the evo today. I fell in love. I want to fuck that car. They said they would trade my car in for 9grand. And sell for 27000. So 27000 minus 9000 is 18000. Thats 9000 a peice between me and my mom. I already bought the gst for 9000. So if i could have handled it before with income, why wouldnt a i be able to handle it with alll this other shit that's going down.

I can handle payments. Thats not the issue. The issue is, What do you think about the evo? If you were in my situation, money wasnt a problem when it came to buying a 30000 dollar car , what car would you get?

$9k is a pretty hefty trade-in considering what you've got, I'd seriously consider it.

Are you say that the STi has more parts readily available and is more established than the 4g63.
