Questions:

Fucking dsms I FUCKING hate them. I swear i said fuck atleast 900 times in 5 minutes.

Ok... Car is driving nice all night. I had previously installed exhaust that afternoon. That night after i get eveyrthing set, i take it out for some power increase testing. I drive the car for about a half hour hard as fuck. Then i just drive normally over to a friends house take him out for a ride to show power gain, and then when we get back like 5 minutes later the dome lights start dimming . I pull up to the code box and it stalls out. Then i try to start it up again and it clicks a ton of times. So then i figure battery dead??? I find somebody to jump the car finally , he charges it up it is fine but then 5 minutes later it sputters down again. But when i rev it up a little the dome lights would get brighter again, therefore the alternator isn't completely broken!?


WTF IS GOING ON!!!! Could it be a short somewhere???

What should i do?? How much are new alternators?? Can anybody help??

You must not have owned this car very long if you are getting so mad about a charging system problem. I have went through so many bull shit things with my car. Did you check to make sure all the connections to the battery were clean and hooked up properly? What about the connection to the alternator its self? Did you have the alternator tested? It only takes a min or two to take the alternator off and drive it to auto zone or something.

 

get your alternator tested and the battery if your alternator is bad get ready to spend about 175 bucks on one
i went shot out 2 with in the last 5 months.good luck

 

must be a 2g thing, because 1g alternators are under 100 bucks.

 

had to fucking buy one from advance auto parts 132 bucks. fucking fuck man. had the alternator and battery tested. They said there was a "ripple effect". The place i had it checked at tried to charge me 460 bucks for alternator plus installation. Then when i told them no thanks that i would rather go and buy an alternator for 130 bucks and install myself, the guy was like "do you even know what the alternator looks like" i was like " no, can you tell me what an alternator does please i have no clue". assholes.

 

so wait aaron??? did you actually buy the new alternater? and if so did you install it yet??? i'm confused with that last post lemme know!!!
