Question 2gnt problem

I wasn't sure if I was supposed to post my thread in here or in the dodge section cause I got a 95 non-turbo eclipse(420a). Well my problem is that my car has like alot of hesitation problems when I press on the accelerator. Sometimes when i press it down instead of going faster like every normal car does it slows down(kinda like when u hit ur rev limiter). So i thought it was my wires and spark plugs so i switched them out but i still got the same problem. Can someone give me any ideas as to what could be wrong with it? I'd really appreciate also too if you dont say something like sell it and get a gst or gsx. Thanks

Agreed. That is the most common solution to the problem you are having. I had similar problems and what was happening is the car was starving for fuel due to a dirty fuel filter. CHange it out and your car should accelerate normally again.

sell it and get a gst or gsx. j/k. like they said change your fuel filter and run some injector cleaner through and use premium 93+ octane. it may take a couple of tanks but that may work. my car did the same thing and i ran 2 bottles of inj. cleaner, new fuel filter and now it runs perfect. especially if the car has sat and the gas has gone bad. goodluck.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I though fuel injector cleaner was a big no no for our cars.

Thanks... I've had my new fuel filter laying around for some time now and havent installed yet because I can't find where its supposed to go. I read somewhere that the 96 and up eclipse/talon fuel filter is located different from the 95's. Any truth to this?

Exactly why I said correct me if I'm wrong. I also misworded it a little, not just for our cars, but for all turbo charged cars.

I dont understand why you would think fuel injector cleaner would be bad for a turbo car. The turbo doesnt see the gas so what does it matter if its turbo charged or not. Anyways if you cant tell by my response the answer would be no its not bad for our cars.
