Default fuel pump

does anyone know of a different type of fuel pump i could put in my 98 tsi that is a little quieter with the same performance standards? i have the walbro 255 in right now, ive had it in for about 6 months and the whinning is driving me insane, the car is my daily driver and it is killing me to listen to that annoying noise when i dont have my system on. let me know.

Supra fuel pump is quieter and flows more

yeah.....just run open downpipe.... That will fix your problem for good.

No but you will probably need a adjustable fuel pressure regulator. And not the BM one. You will need one that will allow you to turn the base pressure down. You might also want to consider the RX7 TT pump. It doesnt flow quite as much as a 255 but it doesnt whine and you wont need a fuel press reg. for it. People have run high 11`s with the RX7 TT pump.

I'm running open downpipe and my walbro is so freaking loud that I can still hear it. Everybody asks me what the loud whining noise is, you can easily hear it over the exhaust from 10 feet away. I'm getting a supra pump asap, it's annoying as all get out.
