Default Little help?

I was just wondering what manual anyone could recommend. I just need something to provide me with a little help so I dont have to do this stuff with just online tutuorials and what not. Also where to order it from. Thanks.

Also would you recommend trying to remove the turbo by myself with little to no mechanical knowledge? There is only one way to learn and thats by doing something. I am removing it to see if it is rebuildable and if so I plan on purchasing a rebuild kit from www.turbocity.com Any opinion on this is welcome.

Once again any help is appreiciated.

take it somewhere to get it professionally rebuilt...as far as taking the turbo off, it is pretty simple, just the 4 bolts on the exhaust manifold, and a couple on the O2 housing i believe..pretty straightforward...just a bitch to put back in.

Well I bought a Haynes which will suffice for now. As for the turbo I didnt get arond to it today. I tried doing the slave cylinder and got the old one off and the new one half way on. I cant get the secone bolt in and its being a bitch so i quit for now. Im going to try and remove the turbo tommorow and check it out. As long as there is no scarring on the housing turbo city says it can be rebuilt with their kit which is basically new washers and seals and what not. Its worth a shot for 110 and I might learn something in the process. If it doesn't work its on to an evo 3 16g

I do and I don't. My dad is willing to lend me the money for it but Id still have to pay it back. So I figured I can try and learn something new by attempting to rebuild it and if I fuck up, then I will get a bigger turbo.

I was wondering where you'd been, hadn't seen you post for a while. I haven't done much research into it, but don't you have to have equipment to balance it and stuff like that? I don't remember it exactly, but there's got to be a reason everybody has it done professionally.

OT I guess, but how is the gvr4 doing? Any closer to being up and running than the last time you checked in?
