Default EGT external warning Buzzer / light

i think i remember Bucci had a buzzer hooked up to his EGT gauge. i was looking at apexi website and came across their PDF manual.
http://www.apexi-usa.com/productdocu...haust_temp.pdf

on page 4 it says that the orange wire is for "warning output signal (for realy)"

does that mean i could hook up an external warning light or buzzer by using a relay?
any help would be greatly appreciated

The orange wire is triggered to a ground when "warning" is reached. I had a small piezo buzzer with the positive hooked to 12v and the negative hooked to the orange wire. If you are running a buzzer or light that uses any real current, you should use a relay.

i was thinkin of just using like an Alarm LED, or a superbright LED from circuit city.
so i'd run the positive side of the LED to a HOT wire and the negative to the orange?
thanks man
