green requires the "modification", it should hold up on a stock bottom end just fine

The water pipe thing is no big deal you just tap it in alittle.
I agree with joe the 16g is a great turbo to get started with. Makes real good power and spools up fast. Not to mention how long the 16g`s tend to last.

i agree the 16g is a good turbo, depending on which one u get. mine flowed 575cfm, and it hung with ricky, 20g high 11 sec awd dsm, from a roll pretty good.

evo 4-8 turbos are reverse rotation. you cant use them on 1g and 2g cars unless you use the whole mani assembly. this puts the inlet to the turbo right smack against the power steering pump. no place to run an air filter unless you loose the power steering pump.

the evo 16 is an awesome setup. the compressor cover is more effecient than a regular 16g. the twin scroll is a 9cm housing yet it spools like a 7cm.

i saw an evo with a cat back and boost control, it was up to 22 psi... it was on the dyno at mastro....

sounded NICE.... power though, i dunno.... @22psi, id be scared of pump gas on a "smaller" turbo like that!

the TD05-16g compressor wheel doesnt push anymore above 20 psi... so, 23 psi is the same amount of airflow as 20 psi... except its just hotter...

thats why they have a huge FMIC and water sprayer STOCk... its necessary to support 19 psi on a 16G. they still knock at "stock" boost levels.

the small 16g is somewhat more efficient than the large 16g, but the large obviously flows a tad bit more air at the top end than the small 16g @ the same PR. its a GREAT turbo to upgrade too: straight bolt on, stock appearing, better power over stock, doesnt require $1000 in supporting air/fuel/exhaust mods to operate... its great. Just like the Sentra SE-R Vspec is a great sport compact... for the money, and what it was built for.

i myself dont want to waste $500 on a means to an end... i just want to jump to the conclusion. and i can afford to do so cuz the supporting mods are already in place... so why not? baby steps are not my style... 14b->16G->16G large-> 17C->18g->19c->20G... why not skip the monkey business and just go for the glory and save yourself the money, the hassle, and the time?
