why are you buying these things already?

Is the car not fast enough?

Do you have any idea what you are doing to this by adding things like a DP, without fuel to support the mod?

Please take a break and learn before you destory your nice car.

no man I work at ford so basically I can just throw it on our WDS and test shit I.e. fuel trim and so on and if anything... I'll look into getting something for fuel managment. I am just seeing what possibilities there are out there for this lil bugger.

The mazdaspeed proteges isn't that fast only pushing a mere 6psi.
The engine isn't that strong, goodluck uping the boost.
The engine is the same as the non turbo protege.

Don't listen to these dum ass kids.

Here is a 2.0 Mazda engine with 15 psi all stock internals. it has 315hp and 329 TQ @ the wheels.

Its a comparision dyno the lower line is for a 1.8 litre engine, all stock internals.

If you don't know what your talking about STFU!

Any turbo mods are pretty much universal...a boost controller or BOV anyway....the downpipe is going to need to be made custom...you shouldnt need more fuel until you start upping the boost....my suggestion would be to try Injen Racing's new CAI for the Mazdaspeed....do a search on www.protegeclub.com , also another suggestion would be to go with a 3" catback exhaust, which would also be something you would need to have made custom at a muffler shop....other great mods would be some Tein Coilovers,a turbo timer(universal)...be careful on that tranny though...even though Mazda gave you beefier axles and a LSD,they purposely limited horsepower on this engine since the tranny wont withstand much more than 250 hp at the wheels...this car is a handler, not a quartermile car....a mustang might hand you your ass on a drag, but they would be stupid to challenge you in the twisties...not much can compare to the Mazdaspeed in the corners!!!!!

well a BOV cannot be any bov b/c when you remove the return hose to the intake from the bov and plug it ( the one by the maf ) the cars like crap. I have tried the other way around though. ( the connection near the intercooler ). If anyone wants to possibly come up with some ideas I am totally open to things except for some stupid ass shit some honda owners do...lol.
