I love the 12As and you can get nice HP out of them withOUT killing your pockets..

On a 12A your port work is not limted,it depends on how deep yoru pockets are.

You can go from a nice street port to a Perifical port.
12As already come STOCK with 3mm apex seals,So no thrown out cash for milling the rotors,BUT keep in mind anything bigger than a street port, will widen your power band,Meaning you need some internal mods.I would recommending putting more dowl pins in the engine too.$$ involved.

Higher pressure oil regulator,Harden stationary gears, rotor clearance, balanced rotors/E shaft etc etc..

12As make nice power gains with bolt ons, since its a 4 port engine, you DONT have to worry about 5th and 6th ports being stuck or actuators not working,POS enginering.

Yes you can go turbo, you can use the stock 9:4 compression rotors.

Pending on what carb set up you run ..you may have to make a turbo bonnet for duel Webers or buy a bonnet for a Holley,do a blow through set up,alot of 12A guys run T60s,anything in the 60s T60,T61,T66,etc

Theres a nice amount of 4 port Turbo 12As running 10s on the track,ALOT of them from Miami,

Parts are cheap for a 12A.First gens are one of the best bodys out of the RX7s for drag....

Why?
You can drop ANY rear end you like,Ford 9,Ford 8.8,GM 10 Bolt,
I seen anything from Linco,G Force,Jerico trannys in first gens.

Wieght of the first gens are nice, and can be gutted to your imagination,Nice shell before going into 3/4 chassis.

Any questions..just post..

The most psi the stock rotors can handle safely with proper tuning is 12 psi. 8psi is the safest!
