and pope if me and you sit down and actually plan out doing the turbo swap on it instead and convince me enough that it will not fucking blow up i might just do that instead.

Dude... the turbo swap couldve easily got you 280-300whp. With lil to no worries of going boom! however that option is no longer available... However... the LS swap offers you tyhe same power (and then some) with better mpg at the cost of basterdizing a car and being more expensive... Overall i think youll be happy with the ls swap

better MPG'S, and a convertible with a LS1 ftw and i suggest ''NOT'' buying the mounts makes the swap more expensive instead make your own motor mounts the guy who bought my shell is dropping a LS1 with a T56 he said he's gonna make his own mounts the motor it self runs about 2 grand to about 4 grand with ACC, ive seen swaps on ebay for as low as 3 grand with a tranny

just go ls1 you will like it, I would have gone ls1 the first time I blew my motor had I not have had an rx-7 for a track specific car... you should definitely look into buying one already swapped though because it would be a lot cheaper and then you can also pick and choose from a bunch of nice ones... 400whp is nothing on a ls1...

i myself personally would try to find a ls2 or something a bit newer. ls1's have poor oil priority issues with the rear main bearing and rod bearings. they don't like to live at high rpms. do yourself a favor and do some research on ls1's and you'll see what im talking about

youd be much better off buying one already swapped and selling your vert. ive seen v8 fc race cars for less then ten grand. btw if you thing youll get better mpgs with a v8 you wont for the first few months. your foot wont let you. buy one already swapped. youll save time money and a rotory powered 7.
