DEAL lol just tired of it man, transmission is grinding in 2nd and 3rd, trans moves around anyways cause that gay ass mount job, the cold start shit just pisses me off, and im tired of that god damn noise from my rear end that i have no idea where it is coming from. Why must i be someone that likes shit to be perfect and have an old ass car haha i fail myself. BUT anyways since im back in school and have the cash im getting rid of this fucking s4 trans that SOMEONE said would work fine but apparently does not and going to get a s5 trans which i shoulda done in the first place with the right crossmember and mounts and prolly a new stronger clutch too.

 

lol there is no difference that i am aware of between s4 and s5 transmissions. as long as theyre both NA thats all that matters, as far as i know. I had an s4 trans in my old 7 and it worked. Put a s5 trans i pulled from the junkyard in with the new clutch and it works (tho the clutch didnt). I think your issue is a used transmission that wasnt in as good a shape as you thought... or most likely that shitty as mount design. Im still not entirely sure why the factory mount wouldnt have worked? but i understand what i saw under the car...
