The GSL-SE (FB) had the first production 13b. There didn't have a factory turbo 13b in the united states until the FC (1986-1992) in 1987. As far as turbo kits, you can find anything if you look hard enough, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

If I were you, I would get the car sorted and verify everything was in proper working order first. Then I'd drive it and enjoy it. Upgrade the suspension and enjoy it some more. If you're still power hungry, then after you've actually done some research, go get a turbo kit (or swap in a 13bt).

Btw....pics or it didn't happen

Depends on what you want to do...comfortable stock-ish ride? auto x? track? drift? show?

RacingBeat.com is a pretty good start for everything

Mazdatrix.com has a lot of stock replacement and repair items in addition to aftermarket

Corksport.com has a lot of pretty cool performance parts as well

Ground-Control has a pretty trick suspension kit that you can upgrade as your needs dictate, might wanna check them out if you think you may one day want better performance but don't want to shell out huge cash now.

i was thinking on making it a great DD but be able to go to drift events aswell. ive herd these are good cars to slide around. and is it true they have almost the same motor as the 3rd gens?

no, the older 13bs are pretty different from the 13brew (fd3s 3rd gen), but you can do a good amount with the older 13b.

i havent really heard of anyone seriously drifting the sa22 and fb. it is a gsl-se and they really didnt make too many five letters with the 13b. i have only seen one in my entire life until i moved down here. i recomend keep it in nice condition, they can be a really nice dd.
