Default Cold air intake and water problems

Looking to put a cold air intake on my 06 mazda 3 and I know they can cause water problems with the engine and I don't want that. Has anyone put one on that doesn't have any problems. If so what kind

Some people avoid water problems by using a short intake during the rainy season........and switch back afterward.......or for a special occasion.

Can you post a pic of how your engine compartment looks right now?

It's possible to make a removeable section that
keeps water away.-Bob

short ram ftw. some cai cause too much turbulance and that will cause the intake air temp to rise. we tested a bunch of different ones in school.

I don't quite understand what water problems your talking about? I also own a 06 Mazda 3i and was considering doing this to my car as well.
