Default Post your experiances with rotary shops.

There is a good amount of rotary shops in Florida, post any experience you've had with them, good or bad. This way people can get an idea of where they wanna take there car if they need to take it in. Even if it wasnt a rotary shop but they still worked on your car, lets here it.

MazdaTech has been DEAD so I thought id bring it back with a random post.

Jeff @ MazTech did good work on my FD... what little I had him do. Took him a little longer than estimated, but no big deal.

Default Scott @ Mazsport

Ok long story. I purchased a fc vert many moons ago when Scott first went into business for himself and I left my car at his shop. $2500 later it was in great running shape with a new 13b. At some point he and I had a fallen out and I didnt care much for him from some horror stories I heard from others. [He was also mistaking me for some kid driving a crx] Now that I think of it some of them didnt really seem to make to much sense and I really didnt know to much about rotarys at the time. I appologized after the bickering on the phone between us and he did to. I than had another expirence when I dropped my fd off at his largo location. He replaced my belts and overlow tank and to my surprise when I got home and opened the hood He even replaced and fixed my boost line to my gauge. So all-in-all I guess he has a good shop and I would say take your car to Mazsport if you wish. Just ask to speak to him directly, The girl that answers can be a little fruity and talk to you like a moroon.

Ill go ahead and give my opinion on maztech. Jeff is a pretty straight forward guy and does some great work, plus his prices are very reasonable. People have told me 3rd gens arent his "sweet" spot and I could tell that a little when he couldnt fix a problem on my car.. Other then that any other time ive brought my car to him its been more then satisfactory. I dont want this to be taken the wrong way I am not bad mouthing him at all and Im not even 100% sure on the situation BUT a friend was talking about my car at his shop and supposedly told him he was annoyed how many times I brought my car into him.. My understanding is without cars that need work on them mechanics wouldn't do so well, so I dont understand why he would say that... anywho I would recommend maztech to people with unhighly modified rotarys...

I saw an 8 at maztech, you could always call jeff and find out... Mazsport is insane with 8s but they are expensive.
