I hit about 4k RPM's in first gear then it breaks up and i stutter real bad, then bam, the boost kicks in. No boost controller, nothin. Whats going on, it sucks. someone help!

I usually run 93, but I think they put 87 in a the dealership. Would that make a difference? And sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. This is my first turbo I've owned, so im still learning. Thanks for the help, much appricated. Also, im looking for a local Mazda meet in tampa bay. If anyone knows of one, let me know.

Check your Mass air flow sensor on your Air Intake system. You might need to replace it.

Sound's like fuel cut to me.

You can fix that by installing a Split Second AFC or the other option is to install a Joe P FCD (< Fuel Cut Defender) I would recommend installing an, AFC.

Also,be careful with those 1st gear burn out's,clutch dump's, etc...your LSD will take a shit on you if you abuse it to much....$$$$

Welcome to owning a MSP!

And anymore info you might need go here: Mazda Forums

if the dealer put in 87 octane then yes that could cause your problem, the MSp requires 93 octane.

for meet info check out FLORIDA MAZDA CLUB :// Featuring Forums, Galleries, Events, Parts Review, Local Meets

we have a meet the 2nd Saturday of every month at the sonic on gandy, the next one is scheduled for Feb 9th i believe

Im gonna guess it was the low octane gas mixed with regular hesitation. Either way buy the SS AFC, it fucking kicks ass. I love mine.
