Those advises are effective and absolutely correct.... My story is: My friend bought brand new 07 Mazda RX8 just a few months ago. He carefully put Mazda turbo on it, carefully installed because his car is still under Mazda warranty. He also found some best kit on eBay for his engine upgrade.

Put some straight pipes on it. That'll prolly sound like what you're used to

 

actually the brap brap cannot be obtained in an rx8 from what I understand. porting the renesis has not shown a lot of increase in power becaues the ports have been moved already. i have heard that it can improve your gas mileage from other rx8 owners. the microtech for the RX8 (called the InterceptorX EMS sold at Mazsport in Largo) can make your car brap brap, but it isnt like the 7s.

How thick are the apex seals on the Renesis? I was told they are 1.xx mm, which is why one needs to be more careful when boosting it.

 

I may be wrong, but I belive the new location of the ports on the RX-8 was done to reduce the amount of emmisons on the new renesis motor. I wonder if 3mm seals can be used in a renesis rebuild???

 

there is zero overlap between the exhaust & intake ports, so no unburned fuel exist through the exhaust port. big reason theres no brap to them. still no word on the exact thickness though. its 1.somethingreallyasscloseto2 i think.
