Default hey mazda tech

hey mazda tech. I've never posted here before simply because i dont own a mazda. I'm posting because my cousin owns a 1990 FC convertible non-turbo. He called me today and told me that he has in fact blown the motor and asked me if i knew of any shop eho could rebuild it for him. so people, who would undertake such a task? As well as a reliable and quality rebuild, he wants it ported as well as whatever you crazy rotary guys do to n/a 13b motors to make a bit quicker n/a. He's 30 and not into racing. he justs wants a quick, fun car. any help would be most appreciated. thanks folks*

A fast n/a... hes gonna have to pay to play. First of course i would say porting like he wants to do, also i would say he should go standalone, preferably a MegaSquirt. Theres a guy on the RX7club forums that is selling plug and play MS', $550 ship'd with a decent baseline, still you want to tune it yourself. Also with engine mods, just your basic performace up-grades, Cold Air intake preferably box'd, A/C and power steering removal -if he wants to go that far-, larger Secondary Injectors. Racing Beat Exhaust - i love mine-. Also anything that would help his handleing would be a good idea, i.e.: Aftermarket coilovers, strut, swaybar ect.

As far as local rebuilding i would have no idea. I've heard good things from RotaryReserection. Not recomended he could do it himself, with help from guys on these forums. I myself have never rebuilt one myself, but ive watched and help'd a little.
