If its NA, just throw a cone filter on it and gut the cats. Nothing else you do will give any noticeable gains besides major weight reduction or N2O.

Maybe some drastic BP or something, but a SP doesn't do much compared to what you spend to have it done, and what people expect out of the NAs. If they want a "fast" FC (mid 13s and faster) they need to get a TII IMO. Everything else is a waste. I think NA FCs are great handling cars and decent daily drivers if maintained properly. Definitely not a drag car.

stock fc's have pretty good suspension but if your looking 4 drift, go to Racing Beat - Mazda Performance Specialists and look for some bigger sway bars. header will always help out, full single or dual exhaust, some people even make it "true"dual exhaust. its up in the air and is a big debate which is better. get some coilovers or some lowering springs with new adjustible shocks or just maybe some kyb gr2's. go ahead and replace you plugs and wires with ngk plugs and wires(stock replacement) most of that shit can be found on racing beat's website but go ahead and search ebay b/c RB's prices are usually high.

a couple free mods you can do such as:
- power steering removal
- throttle body butterfly removal
- smog pump removal & port wiring(doesn't help 2 much unless u have an aftermarket exhaust)

you can always upgrade to a s5 intake manifold
these are just a few ideas u can think about beor u go tearing apart the engine to port.

PM me if you got any questions
