Yes it will smoke,I think ATF will smoke more.I also remember hearing ATF will swell the rubber seals?

I dont care who knows more,im always up to learn something new.
Id just like to see why ATF is more "appropriate" then motor oil.
Last time I checked motor oil was thicker than ATF,and if this "goop" is thick,why put something in so thin as in ATF?

 

Yeah i wasnt getting any spark from my leading or mainly my trailing coil packs...got back from Jeffs and he gave me some...but he thinks i will be back...hehehe he says that it must be another reason why..but you are the engine was flooded 2 all hell...and the guy that was workion ong it just let it sit and tried the shit over and over and over again...I just yanked the car from him...I dont want 2 give out any names but he did good work but he took Waaaaaaay 2 fucking long...and when it came down 2 this last small thing that got in the way of my RX starting it pissed me off 2 no end. So Now it is myself and 2 other TR members goign thru the trail and error at my place when we get off work tonight...and jeff pulle dthru once again and gotten me a the shroud for my fan..and the coil packs...he didnt want me 2 pay becuase he was confident i would be towing my car 2 him anyways...hahaha I love this shit !

 

ITS ALIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!! It Runs....sounds like it needs a tune...but it runs...now if i wanna drive it i gotta find out whats going on with my slave...becasue i hear the hissing when you push down the clutch..might just buy another !!!! Pics and video will be very soon !!

The hissing when you push the clutch is probably the throwout bearing. They last for a while squealing like that if you can stand the noise. (mine went for months)

Clean the plugs really good (With a wire brush!!!! don't use one of those sandblaster things, the sand can get caught in the plug and fall out when you dont want it to.)
OR just buy some new ones. They get pretty fouled up when it floods.

 

you're welcome master tang..... the plugs are brand new so no need for that right now. oh n that hissing sound is not the same one you're thinking of alex. im going to try to bleed it tonight or tomorrow n see if it works. i gotta checkout your cooling system too mastertang so try not to turn it on right now.

ps. ill be phukin around with the tunning myself once i get my hands on my lights.

atf will help a washed out housing
so will oil
atf is "what my engine builder uses" (the most common saying on the internet)
i have soaked carbon laden parts in 2 different types of atf for several days. carbon never seemed any looser to me.. i have run GM top engine clean and water through parts and through an engine befor tear down and it worked great... but then again what do i know....

i just cannot beleive that a guy with so many years of experience would fuck up a car so bad. i ve still yet to ask you how long it took him to get your car started but damn. it was turned on in 2 nights with a small flashlight and very little tools. oh n i cant beleive he installed the clutch backwards!! WTF?? the car is running but now it wont go forward or back bc of it.

 

what was wrong with it

 

when the car is off it can go into gear..but when its running it grinds in every gear you try and put it in...we put in a new slave, becasue the old one was rusted and broke...good pressure on the clutch...just wont go into gear..
