Question time and money

like the title says i have some time and money i want to put on a rotary eng. to build from the ground up. im a mechanic used to work on disel eng. like cats detroits, cummins, alcos, and some outboards, some car expirence but i think i want to do something ive never done and learn it
i know the basic consept of the rotary eng how it works and stuff but now i want to build it
what would be a good eng to build i wanted to be turbo
any ideas maybe a 13b or a 20b
i do have the manuals
now is this a good idea or am i going over my head?

I dont think you're going over your head. Most people are scared of the rotary because it's different, but once you get inside of it and read the manuals you will find out how simple it really is.

Get a 13b-re engine. Basically the same as a 3rd gen rx7 engine but different intake manifolds. They can be had for $1500 with a transmission, but then it will need another $2,000 into it to make it very very nice. Go to Rx7club.com , register as a member and start searching and asking questions. They is always atleast 120people online at that forum at every moment of the day.

buy a video, they are near impossible to build off reading articles.
