yes the lt8 will only do 4 injectors and 4 coils. so no 20b with the lt8. the handset controller is limited in what you can see. their are more 3d graphics and trending you can do with the laptop you cant do with the controller, but with the handset you do get a shift light and visual display. so its up to you. i would rather plug my laptop in be able to see everything i need to.

Ok I was going to get a full price quote tonight,But I have no clue at this time what I want/need.The dash controller is out of the question forsure,I heard it was a peice of shit.

I might just buy the ecu,and lap top connector at this time.Thats the main concern since I have the cash for it.

This guy told me I still need the harness for sensors/o2 wideband/ there was somthing else I cant remember at this time.

you see that the o2 sensor is part of the microtech harness. their are 3 harness for the microtech. if the one your buying is missing the harness that does the o2 sensor as well as the tach output, aux input, aux output, then you need to get that harness from some where else. which scott can make them but it will be like 80 from him.

so its coming from aussie. damn hope you like waiting. ok if you get an lt8s take a look at the wiring detail for it. the lt8x which is what i have. can you use aftermarket coils like bosch. but the lt8 has to use the stock coils. this is because on the lt8x the ignitor for the coil is built into the microtech on the lt8 it use the stock coil ignitor. i dont know about the lt8s so make sure to look at the wiring details that comes with it. 1000 shipped is a good deal, the software is free your paying for the cable and adapter. make sure to get a laptop with a serial port. i know some new laptops dont come with them anymore.

yes they are, but like i was saying they use stock ignitors on the lt8. but also they dont spilt the leading. on my car remember i had two trailing coils.

I cannot find the specs on what the specs I need on the laptop for it to work.
If I read correctly,I think it said atlease windows 95.

If your computer has a serial port,and has atlease win95,but can be upgraded to 98 or even 2000/XP Then shoot me a price.

 

i dont know about 95 but maybe a 98 would work. ive done it with a xp and 2k laptop. the program it self isnt high tech so i doesnt need much processing power.
