Listen,
You are not getting the real answer WHY,he told you to get it cut that way..

Its WARRENTY issues,he does not want to warrenty a key that is cut wrong by an electric cutter.

How many spare keys have you got cut over the years you have own/and drivin a car?Have you 1 time go get one cut the way Scott describes, untill you got that key from him?

I can say,cut it with the eletric cutters,BUT do NOT go to Walmart,Ace etc..

Try a locksmith,or Lowes,HomeDepot.
If the key got cut wrong,I can get it warrentyed,It might take a week or 2,depending on how we go about it.

The key it self, are the same ones you go to a lock smith and buy them for .99 cents.

god damn threadjackers....

anyway, if you guys have this kind of key, i would take it to a specialty locksmith place liek the one i was talking about in Park boulevard in pinellas park. they have their machine adjusted right, unlike home depot/lowes. etc...

i brought my keys over at "KEYS MADE" and it worked fine for me. yes, i took a chance, but mine came out perfect.

and stop fighting... or else. imma delete this thread.. lol
