Daily driving?
Performance?
Drift? etc etc..
You can get so much more out of a Ported/Turbo FC.Plus a quarter of the cost
too much cash for what you get, but they do have a bling bling interior. I was looking at sports cars for my mom. she ended up with an 05 s2000.
From what Ive heard there not the fastest things on the road, however there not the slowest, dont get one and expect to run a vette, the person you need to talk to is tenoch9 he has a DD one and he loves it, he uses it for AutoX..and does a damn good job at it.

Get an rx7. 2nd gens are extremely good looking, can be extremely fast with a turbo engine+get 25mpg if it is tuned correctly. Rx8's are EXTREMELY slow for the money you pay for them, a cobalt SS or srt-4 would kill one in a stright line (pretty much all the racing in Florida). I wouldn't get one if I was you, they are heavy, expensive, and are not good looking, in my own opinion of course. Parts for that car most likely you will only beable to get them from the dealer which means big $$$ for a really cheap part.
i heard mazda has bad transmission but is that true? well is there any coupe/hatchback/sedan that seats 4 that is better than RX8 and non-turbo/non-supercharger (since the insurance will be to high) please let me know.

Back on topic: I like my RX-8. I wouldn't trade it in for any FB, FC maybe an FD
I don't have time to discuss performance with you right now. Go to www.edmunds.com or check out local auto-x events (NASA-x on SPC Allstate Campus in St. Pete - check the auto-x forum) to see RX-8's perform against WRX, SRT4, Porsche...its crazy fun. PM me if you can come out to an event. I will let you burn one of my runs and drive the RX-8 if you are cool
Bottom line...if you want strong low-end torque for "straight line" racin, do not buy the RX-8. However, I have no problem with low end torque with the RX-8. It's there...you just need to know how to drive the car.Check Edmunds for comparable vehicles to the RX-8 and drive drive drive them all till you are tired. Make your own decision. That worked for me.
