My Motor And Transmission Is Coming Out This Weekend
So I'm taking out the motor and transmission because my friend bent the shifter forks, and it needs to be fixed. Post if you have any input
shut up rotary7, yours is not even done after 800 years
as far as i know, you can just take out the transmission by itself and u should have access to the fork.
take off exhaust system
loosen the bolts from the engine side and the drive shaft side, remove drive shaft....once youre in the tranny ready to take it off, wiggle it and it should come loose...
see whats wrong with the fork, then when everytying is done, do the reverse process....
have fun putting the tranny back in, lol. mine wouldnt line up to the center. took me me and my friends 20-30 minutes to get it in there.

Ok, I guess I'm just taking the transmission out, but it will be hard to get it back in there. That's the part I'm afriad I won't be able to do.

Have at it.. if your doing it on the ground just make sure you can get the car jacked up as high as you can.I have axcess at my friends shop towards Brandon but that wont be till the weekend,
I will look for that fork for you also.
I took out the motor/transmission last weekend in about 4 hours. First time it's ever been out of the car. Discovered I have a oil cooler. Cleaned the entire motor/transmission and took out A/C. I'm replacing the fork this weekend, so anyone that has a spare shifter fork, please PM me.
