need help, car wont start
the timing was off by like 180 degrees, the bottom pully that has the timing mark on it was all f'ed up and i took it off and set the timing in relation to the water pump and some other crap but now it works, but it still f ing smokes and this is how the mother f ing thing started, i was told that the valve seals were bad and now i think that it might be the rings or valve guides, i dunno but im happy that it finally runs but i probably going to tear the stupid thing apart again
it is going to start all over again i know it
it is going to start all over again i know it

If you want a motor swap, look for an FE3...but you'll need a tranny from an MX6 GT,626 Turbo,or Probe GT...either that or an F2T...btw...a stock F2 is NOT a high 15 sec car..feels faster than it is due to the high torque, but it doesn't breathe after 5500 rpms...If you are going to actually going to do a proper rebuild, get the FE3 or an FT2...that stock F2 is NOT worth all the effort

i am looking to get a FE3 and either put it in my probe or the mx-6 i am getting today, hopefully, but i just need the money cause i have a shitty kitty job that doesnt pay much, but ill have to work with it. i was told that my probe had some mods done to it before i got it but i dont know what was modded and it has pretty much a stage 2 weight reduction done to it, so i dont know how fast it is and i probably wont know with this pos motor right now.

Although probably noone will argue, here's some links to prove it:
One on MX6.com
Another Post on MX6.com (Jon has had MX-6's for quite some time)
I could look it up on probetalk.com, but I see no real point in it. You learn who the knowledgeable people are on a website, and you can learn a lot of things from their posts.
