Port work vs. Vtec
I'm hearing a lot of bullshit in this thread. Post your quarters or shut up.
Porting alone doesn't do all that much. It's a sum of the mods, not the benefit from a single one. That's why a garbage can pipe or intake alone don't do much. It's all about combining the mods and getting air/fuel through the motor as quickly as possible. With that in mind, smoothing out ports to increase air flow and efficiency is good times.

i dont believe he is.... he may be talking about porting heads or something ghey like that.
although the right combination of parts & tuning does alot for any engine

Yeah it just seems like he doesn't understand the concept of porting a rotary. The size the ports drastically increase from stock port to street port, bridgeport, or peripherial port.
a street ported engine gains 15 hp @ WOT and that is proven..
a cold air ram air makes more than that.
show me one n/a sp engine that has 200 hp....

ask judge ito at nopistons....... but then again i know you are gonna say that he is in your FAF racing buddies
Porting a rotary is like putting a mean cam in a v-8.
I dont see how you guys are arguing that porting a rotary is pointless. Perhaps you need to go learn how an engine works, as M_coupe nailed it.
