I wanted to know if their was anyting special about the leading and trailing spark plugs? is their a difference between the two. Becuase i was going to buy some zex replacments i need to know. so what im basically asking is it the coils that take care of the leading and trailing or are they special plugs?

I need to know if your talking S4 or S5,stock engine or ported,here is some info..


Leading coil and trailing coils are diffrent.
Leading plugs and trailing plugs are diffrent.

I know of alot of people who run TII plugs on stock,n/a engine and ported engine..

See my engine had mods,So I ran a colder plug,I was suppose to run BR8EQ-14,But I ran BR9EQ,The number in the middle represents the higher the number the colder the plug,Dont mess with the 14 number its the thread length of the plug,

The colder the plug is better for power,but not good for daily driving, Read here for some info on plugs,why are you going to run ZEX?
Are you going to run n20?
Every one I know run NGKs no matter how modded the engine is,Also what NGK puts out,design wise,is what is good for yoru engine..

 

stock N/A S4 no porting jobs. i plan to run N20 when i get money but would it hurt to have better plugs on a stock engine.

 

For 86-92 the only plugs you need are the NGK spark plugs and yes there is a difference between Leading and tailing. You cant have 4 leadings or 4 tailings you need ttwo of each. and trust me THE NGK are high performance spark plugs, thats all you need. you dont need to upgrade your spark plugs.

 

I ran T2 plugs when I was spraying . I wouldnt recomend spraying a stock corner sealed motor . It'll hold up for a lil while but they will give out .

were you running dry or wet? and how many miles did your rx7 have when you starting using it?

 

Shit he had a Mazda factory reman or a new engine,He bought the car with if I can remeber right like 30k on the engine..

Yea Mazda Reman had like 38k on it when I started spraying ... Has like 43k on it now lol .....

 

43k and been sitting the last 7 months..

 

That it has I wanna get another 6port motor .... Knwo anyone with 1 FS ?
