Ripped on a RX-8....
Just test drove one...They are very underrated.... In my 2 cents..they are Fast As Fuck......
I got to drive it with out a saleperson.. I had no problem doing 110 in 3rd gear.. I was able to chrip 3rd gear going up hill.
The only complain I have is the seats suck, and the A piller hits me in the head, while inside.
The other complain is it feels like t has a load of shit in its pants..its just feels a bit heavy.. but hauls ass.... I had no problem pulling 10,000 rpm in each gear..

Actually, they're over-rated, which is why Mazda is offering to buy them back....still a sweet car in my opinion, I need to get out to drive one...
NEW YORK, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Mazda says it will buy back most of the 3,551 RX-8 rotary-engine sports cars sold since July because engine power falls short of claims.
The car company says power is as much as 5 percent less than advertised.
USA Today reported Thursday the miscue interrupts an important rollout of image-restoring sporty models but the company's quick action likely will head off any damage to the Mazda reputation.
Mazda sent letters Aug. 22 to RX-8 purchasers saying it would pay full sticker price plus taxes and other fees -- even if owners have run up thousands of miles on their cars. Those who tell Mazda they will keep their cars get free scheduled maintenance for the four-year, 50,000-mile warranty period, plus $500.
Mazda made the same buyback offer to purchasers of 2001 Miata two-seaters because those produced 142 hp instead of the advertised 155 hp.

We all know about the manufacturers overrating the HP. Thats not over rated anymore since they have come public with it. What Levi means by under rated is how everyone is saying they are slow as balls and a POS for some reason. Pulling a 14.5 in a stock sedan seems pretty good to me. Wasn't everyone all excited about the altima 3.5 going mid/high 14s? Thats the class its aimed for, not a sports car.
I bet anyone out there with a good driver, the car will easy do 13.9..no fuckin problem.
I was doing 115 in a little more than a quarter mile.
I was doing 115 in a little more than a quarter mile.

Obviously, you haven't driven a fast car. They are slow and very overrated.

Do you live on this planet? There's no way in hell you were doing anything near 115 "in a little more than a quarter mile"
