Ok let me give you info you may know or may not know on peripheral port..

The intake inlet ports on the plates (Where the intake sits on) Will be bypassed and 2 big ass holes will be cut into the rotor housings.. with a lower intake made to mount to an upper intake for 2 Weber or Mikuni carbs..

I wouldnt say which engine is the best to use..but I would say any 4 port engine..

I personally would get an engine from a 84/85 GSL SE (6PORT) and make it into a 4 port using 12A plates.. the water seal is the same on both engines, 86+ is diffrent,Then I would use S5 rotors (Lighter rotors) but mill them for 3mm then use 1 peice corner seals..if you plan on running N20 I wouldnt go with the carbon set of Apex seals.. but alot of people would but they dont seal good at low RPMS..you need to get everything balanced.. rotors/e shaft..get the clearance on the rotors checked.. theres alot of work ..

Using a 12A front cover and a GSL SE oil pan the engine mounts into a first gen just like stock..

Keep in mind periphical port engines dont last long at all .. and you will need to use NEW rotor housings..

RB Peripheral Port Housing
1974-85 13B NT

Part Number: 11019
Retail Price: $837.00

Why do you want to do this set up.. and this is not even a 1/4 of what you will need to spend..

have fun...
