no they aren't. The Escort community is a bunch of older guys, and they've all posted about it before. Go through the archives of the EGT yahoo group. It was great about 4 years ago.

Going turbo is cheaper, yes....but its not my cup of tea. Just my opinion.

FTI, the VJ20 is a waste of time if you want power. Its tiny, and sucks,IMO.

He's got a point. The VJ20 is tiny. Sure it'll build boost early but doesn't have much up top.

much uptop is for sure..

put it this way, at 15 psi, you'll be losing power after 5000 rpm....just because it can't flow.

hmm... Again, good points. Still no resolution. Perhaps finding a universal turbo kit with a larger turbo and having a custom header/flange made is the way to go? Looking at some measurements, there are a lot of aftermarket intercoolers that could be fit behind my bumper/valence.

Is it possible just to buy say a 4 bolt flange that would fit a T3 and adapt the OEM manifold?
