LMAO typical corvette owner.
I hate how they think they have something when most of them don't.
Its that elitist attitude they all get. its stupid.

Put work and effort into building something nice, then we'll talk.

Own something with style and class and we'll talk

have some respect for everyone else, and we'll talk

Keep thinking that you're better because you drive a chevy, and I'll keep pointing and laughing.

It's typically hosted for sports and exotic car owners and enthusiats seeing as there are many import meets around. I you say out loud to yourself, "Is my (insert car name here) a sports or exotic car?" then you should have your answer.

Also, Corvette owners are like that all over. Same as those BMW 3'er owners. They're cars are in the upper echelon of automobiles. We just have to deal with it.

Thanks man. I know I just think it's funny that they think a car that is seen just as much as a honda civic around Sarasota is exotic. It's all good I respect all cars and all enthusiasts. Maybe having a car that there is only a handful in the state isn't rare enough for them. I'll keep coming out and inviting friends as I can. Hopefully everyone else will also and help make this a good event. It feels good to finally have a good get together locally here. I'm tired of putting so many interstate miles on the cars and fighting those rock chips. Please everyone hit the like link for your facebook and get the word out.

Default I admire your positive attitude, coming out, inviting friends and trying......

PT, I wonder if "upper echelon" means "higher priced"? LOL
It's easy to tell the difference at an all 'Vette show, otherwise a lot of people think
'Vettes all look alike with minor chrome/paint differences......

"and those are the cars we don't want here". ....LOL!.....sounds like 'vette driver is
trying to elevate himself in status by giving put-downs....since a 'vette is not an
exotic......LOL

Otto,
Like you, I respect the time someone puts into his car. If they are happy with it,
I'm happy with it. I usually stay away from people who think they have status, since
the only status people have, is the status you are willing to give them. I'm not
slobbering over a bone stock exotic with the hood shut and windows up when I can
see the same car at the dealers showroom. I do admire some of the so-called "ricer"
cars down south,... where the owner cleaned and polished his entire car and engine
....and I admire that he did it all HIMSELF. But if you've seen me at a meet, I look at
EVERYBODY'S car, even those that are ordinary. I have more friends and shoot more
bull with the ordinary guys.

Pat yourself on the back Otto,
I know you from a few previous shows/meets down south and I admire your positive
attitude, coming out, inviting friends and trying to make the meet a success......I hope you keep doing it.

.....I just had a fantasy vision.......
the "non-exotics" parked across the street were having a great time and out numbered
the exotics.....LOL
I think that's humorous.....like a certain meet around here where uninvited Japanese
cars were having such a good time in their own corner with their hoods up socializing
and eating pizza, .......that the other guys started joining THEM..... -Bob

Calm down people. No offense to anyone with an import but there are different events and meets geared towards different cars. Plain and simple. The facility is huge, with tons of parking away from the show cars. Come by and check them out. Bring in some donations, have some coffee and snacks, and enjoy yourself.

You don't see Ferrari owners bitching about not bringing their cars to a Hooters meet on Saturday night...

And you wouldn't complain if your Civic wasn't allowed in a Chevy muscle show. Or would you...?

It's all in good fun. I personally want a great atmosphere that I can bring my family to and have a good time. I'm actually very tired of the shows that are happening in tampa because of the NON family atmosphere they attract. I'm excited about getting this going and meeting some great new people. Please excuse any comments that I made as they were in a joking manor. I just have a hard time with a small percentage of certain crowds. Let's have a good time and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Default PT, I like your positive attitude.

PT, You are the voice of reason and I like your positive attitude. I go to every
kind of car meet and never have any trouble. I park a respectable distance away. I donate to whatever charity. I buy something from the vendors or sponsors, and I have a great time.-Bob

Most of the Chevy guys are pretty good folks...my experience...
