why is bi lo shady? I've never had a problem with them. You just have to tell them exactly what you are wanting and when you need it. They will get it done.

Powerhouse took some 4g63 7 bolt rods and made them work on our 6 bolt crank. Basically all it requires is machining the crank end sides of the rod down. They gouged the sides and didn't bother to debur anything. The block was bored 20 over and was not consistent. 3.375 in some places up to 3.386 in others. They had the pistons and the block girdle there to check everything and still managed to mess it up.

Very disappointing in my opinion

 

hey aaron dont the local machine shops send out the cranks to get balanced?

 

all I need done is block hot tanked, crank polished and balanced, and pistons pressed on rods

 

it means that hopefully it will be properly built.

 

jd my cousin has a place he sends everything to to get balanced. well priced. let me know i can get the number. he does alot of big shit around here so its trustworthy

 

bi lo assembled lembos block ......they had the pistons installed backwards (valve reliefs in opposing directions)

 

im pretty sure jd has a good reputation of not having shitty motors. he shit last/ and tech the rsx has a service bullentin on the problem he had

Well in all fairness I know Branden had a crank that he had knife-edged and needed it balanced. He took it to Bi-Lo and they fucked it up bad, I'm pretty sure they did it in house. If Chris has someone his Uncle uses I would recommend trying them. They have 8,000 RPM 2,500 hp big blocks holding together so balancing is very important to them.
