Really I think a big part of the meet-up on Saturday night is that we end up with all these people out there just to fuck off.
I mean hanging out isn't a big deal. But the lifted trucks with train horns going off every other minute and stereo systems louder then the trains that the horns came off of is really annoying.
If you look at those of us that post in here, even if some of us don't get along and/or hate each other or whatever, you'll realize that none of us have ever been the reason that we were kicked out of somewhere.
None of us bring twenty of our friends out just to be sheep following the pack to see where all the action will be.
I mean seriously we have to be honest and admit that most of the people that come out there have probably no clue how an engine works. Shit, most of them probably couldn't change their own oil let alone diagnose a problem or build something of their own.
Not to attack this person, who will remain nameless, but just the other day we had someone at the shop who described what sounded like an EGR issue and when Jason asked him if he had checked it out, the guy replied with "Is that in the fuse box?"
Now in all fairness we have to start somewhere. But when 200 people are sitting in a parking lot and 190 of them don't know why they are there or what a torque spec is, we all look kinda pathetic.
We have a decent sized parking lot by the shop. If everyone is willing to be chill, I don't see any reason why we couldn't meet there.
No the bathroom is not available for use. No the shop is not open for people to walk around in. Not hiding anything, just don't want parts walking off. I'm not going to try to sell anyone on any kind of work while they are there. If you ask, that's your business, but I won't just approach you.
Jose, Kelvin, Steve, Lembo, whoever else I don't generally get along with, all of you are welcome. I don't own the parking lot. It's part of the empty building across the street. The same landlord just happens to own the entire block so it's not an issue. Shoot, Steve's warehouse is 300 feet from the parking lot. The building in between Steve and me is a good friend of mine.
No one is going to complain. No one is going to randomly stop by in there mud truck and cause trouble. If they do, they will be asked to leave.
Just realize I'm a painter. I do bodywork, fix dents, fiberglass parts, replace body panels, stuff like that.
I don't have a fast car right now. It's not something that is important to me at the moment. I like to look at other people's work though. It's why I randomly will show up on Saturday night. Just to see what's been done.
The whole calling the Jap Works crowd out thing is really boring. We aren't Titan. We never claimed to be.
Most of our work is fixing broken stuff like head gaskets, cv axles, bad wiring, clutch jobs. If we do an engine rebuild it's usually just a stock rebuild.
And like I said I'm a painter.
I install body kits, fix carbon hoods, fix bad paint jobs, do front end conversions, paint bike parts.
We are a repair shop.
We are in the business of fixing cars not building race cars. I pour my heart and soul into trying to keep my business afloat. We all do. I would love to put together something fast, but I don't have the time or the money.
When I do something, honestly I will be more concerned with it looking good then chasing down the King Subie or Lord Kelvin. I might be mid 12's or I might be high 14's but I don't care.
It's like this, all kinds of people have beat up on nice fast exotics in town, but I guarantee you that none attract attention like a Lamborghini does.
A new, fast, clean, K swapped hatch will get 15-20 people's attention at K-mart, while a new Lambo will have everyone talking.
I'm working towards a project that will attract attention to my skills as a painter/designer/bodyman/fabricator. Those of you building race cars, keep building them, we need a nice balance.
Most of you probably read three lines of this so I'll stop rambling and let the next jackass post.
Goodnight!

(arrons post) im not going to quote all that lol,but its a good idea to meet at the warehouse and right about some things lol
and about king subie and lord kelvin and the rest of about you. me ,steve ,even kelvin dont care or think we are that , if someone decide to say dumb bullshit about how they are better or faster then me ,thats when i just call them out to run ,and that make me a shit talker here lol, kelvin numerous times calls out people because of pointless remarks they say ,even when they dont have a car or whatever reason,to back them up. and thats what makes bullshit.if people talk shit, then run .they can see whos faster and the shit talking stops because their new concern is to make their shit faster or whatever they want to do after
like i said before ,why say bullshit or say anything about somebody else, if your not interested in what they do,arron you paint ect ect thats cool ,im not going to talk down to you or say any remarks about that, because i dont paint or do body work ,thats goes the same to zack, he builds drift cars ,so he should keep his bullshit to himself, because he has nothing for or to do with drag .well my point is, if you want to talks shit about someone else or what they own,is to back up your bullshit or just dont say anything and there will be no drama or bullshit my 2 cents

I like the idea of a nice chill, organized spot.
I never really called you guys out in the beginning as soon as I got off the dyno I wrote on Tamparacing in big letters . "Calling out anyone that wants to run me at the track for money" and then had people calling me a pussy because I didn't want to run it on the street. Dave's integra was the only one that stepped up and said he would run me at the track.
After I said ok just to shut TR up i'll run them on the street for money and you guys then wanted to fight me...
Brandon use to say stuff about my starlet basically being a pos because it was tubbed with a stock motor and any car can run 9s in that aspect. So I listened to everything he always had to say and read everything he wrote and built my integra accordingly.
I now have a stock motor, full weight integra with a turbo kit, full leather interior and everything that came with the car from factory works. An I still don't get any runs.
The last thing that pissed me off was everyone use to say that I can only go fast in a straight line. You guys called everyone out to go race @ a auto-x event or actually I don't even know what it was because I DID NOT get enough DETAILS.[Sorry Zack but, I didn't want details from you I wanted it from the people that were doing the call-out.] So I felt like you guys talk shit saying I can only go fast in a straightline call me out to do a race with turns and then I accepted the challenge and it felt like you guys didn't even want me to show up.
-Besides the 1st sentence everything might be off topic but... Just wanted to clear that up.
OH!! Even though Lord Kelvin has a nice ring to it.. The name's King Kelvin
