I have been to a couple of them and to be honest it is rather pointless. I am not going to got to a meet where people are jumping around on cars and doing other dumb stuff (Applebees Meet)

The first Sonic meet was alright, some nice cars.

It would be much better if there was an actual plan or idea to make the events interesting.

For example you could hold it on Saturday night and have everybody cruise upto Gandy to be with fellow ricers. That way everyone is in the same spot and the neon and transformers can all be happy.

 

i like the idea of cruises. no ricing around ofcourse, but i like nice slow cruises. im in jon, and i like the saturday nights idea. a lot of us work during the week so you get the people who have the "i have to be in bed early" mentality.

 

well i guess that leaves an old man like me out...the gandy rice thing is played out, cops all over, this is a bradenton meet right? not tampa...all good man i wish you luck with saturdays and the all rice thing...ill just do something at hooters like before on a wed or something for the old men and them doms....gl guys!

I am agreeing with the Bi-weekly or even monthly idea because if it were done every week i think the crowd would thin out. I also am thinking to keep it on wednesdays. For example, show up at 8:00 and we cruise at 9:00, to wherever. Gandy has been the biggest waste of time for about 5 years now, if you want to go, feel free.

Also if you would like to ask about the people doing dumb shit at the applebees meet, Derek would be the man to talk to, he set it up.

 

Just so you know guys, the gandy thing was a sarcastic comment regarding the rice there and the rice which showed up at the events.

To be honest, Manatee meets are never going to be popular, there are too many people around here with grudges and so forth, I would see a bigger turn out at MCC during fall semester.

 

why dont we just meet sumwhere on thursday before test and tune?.. then roll to the track.. that way we KNOW we will meet more ppl and see nice cars.. even if only 2 ppl show up to the before meet. its a win win.. and if sumone cant meet us before at like sonics or sumthing they can just meet at the track.. seems like more fun to me, then just sittin around bored

 

Other than the track will be closed for the next month, that sounds like a good idea.

i think some of the guys are meeting in sarasota at a hooters on sat nights and not being f'd with...maybe try that?
