Pauls 04 Evo 8. Repaired, upgraded, and retuned. (pictures and dynograph inside)
Paul came to us a week ago with his 100% stock Evo 8. It was plagued with a rough idle, boost issues, a disintegrated aftermarket drop in filter, and sputtering under full throttle. We immediately went to work to diagnose the problem which lead us to a damaged factory intercooler that was expelling air back into the atmosphere as fast as the turbo could feed into the charge system. Under our recommendations, Paul took this opportunity to upgrade to an aftermarket 3.5 inch intercooler, a Blox cone air filter, add a forged manual boost controller into the mix as well, and a retune to replace the extremely conservative factory tune.
Base line is the factory tune in blue 220whp/219wtq@19psi peak. The retune is in red 262whp/274wtq@22psi peak. Factory Evo 8 fuel pump is now maxed out. Paul's future upgrade plans will be a 3inch turbo back exhaust, Walboro 255 fuel pump, Forge RS blow off valve, and more boost!

First of all I want to say Chris and Orlando are first rate guys to deal with. They can diagnose all issues and present various modification options based not only on budget but on necessity. They will not steer you towards a 600$ part when a 300$ will do the same job. These guys excel at all levels of mechanical knowledge as well as provide unparallelled customer service. At this time they do not have an actual dyno or stand alone shop, but thier combined knowledge and excellent attitude more than make up for that in my book. The results that Chris achieved using VirtualDyno have made me happy as a clam. My Evo is driving better than ever, and all for much less than other shops that can't hold a candle to the boys ad Judge racing.
