1974 Datsun 260Z / 2JZGTE "Zupra" build (Part 2)
.......Part 2 (Where primer and paint makes the devil a saint!!!!)
The Ospho's dry now and it's time to prime. Okay.....we've closed all the holes that aren't needed (and some that we did need....ooops!) We started out by by using metal filler for the superficial holes, and welding the ones that were more substantial. The end product after Ohspoing, , cutting, filling and sanding was:
Not sure if you saw what this swiss-cheese lookin' corner looked like in Part 1, but you may want to take a look!!

....and this corner....

.....and more photos.....

Prime time (time to prime!!) After what we've just been through, priming didn't seem like too big of a deal (actually it felt like we felt like we were vacation after what we've just been through). Here are some photos:

Because we felt painting the engine bay the same color as the car (or in black) would be boring, we went with something that would really give it some POP and WOW factor. ****Guess the color before scrolling down any further****
..... It's paint time!!!

The cross member got a nice treatment as well. It just wasn't fair to show so much love to the engine bay without throwin' a bone to the cross member, so it too was painted (after removing the rack and pinion steering).

....with electric Flex-a-lite fans installed...

....and a 12x24x4 intercooler......

Fresh brake lines have been made from scratch and installed (from from to rear). A Sparco has been test-fitted and can be seen through the windshield.

Next, it's on to the motor build!! See you in Part 3!
