1974 Datsun 260Z / 2JZGTE "Zupra" build (Part 3)
In this segment, we've got the engine opened and ready for a rebuild, which would have it ready for copious amounts of boost!!
The internals, (including bearings, rings, bolts, studs, gaskets, seals, etc.) have all been replaced to provide a no-nonsense platform.
Below, are photos of the motor, fully assembled and ready for tear-down:

.....and the tear-down begins!

The intake and exhaust manifolds removed:

More tear-down:

........and with the oil pan removed with the motor flipped upside-down (exposing the crank):

....and down to the bare block!

Now the reassembly process begins!

After everything was torn-down, cleaned and prepped, it was time to put everything back together and re-installed.
The twin-turbo w/internal wastegate setup had to make way for a single turbo'd external setup. The stock fuel rail was also superceded by an aftermarket rail with bigger injectors.

After these last few photos, a few other things were installed and it was time to drop the engine in!!!
