So I did a B18a1 swap in my 99 ek coupe ex (started life as d16y8 automatic)
Now when started, idles fine, no CEL's, but upon acceleration, neutral/in gear, the motor will not rev past 2,000 rpms as if hitting a rev limiter.

List of mods

99-00 civic si engine harness
P28 ob1 ecu chipped - eleminated all sensors
Jumper Harness (obd1 to 0bd2a) Rywire
auto to manual conversion, consisting of neutral saftey switch soldering ect.


ECU - tested in B20 swaped ek - ran fine
Dizzy - tested good, perfect resistance at coil and ICM
Grounds - 3 all good, trans, thermostat housing, and valve cover
ANY help on this issue would be greatly appreciated anyone who may have run into a problem similar could become my best friend at this point as I am frustrated to the point of contemplating burning my own car! lol

 

My car did that once and it was the jumper harness

does that ecu have 2 step

 

2 step is set at 4k, worked flawlessly in my boys b20 ek hatch
