Got the text yesterday Sat. morning from John but didn't see the reason why until today.
Wow. Jake really had a thing against me for a long time because I promote racing at a track vs the street. Then his friend passed due to someone else street racing and things changed.
Anyway. I remember him from the meets as well. We didn't always get along but whoever does.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Im jakes step dad thanks for the kind word he will be missed he was a cool dude and i loved him very much a part of me is now broken and wil never be fixed. Please come out sat, to show some love for jake his mom and i are looking forward meeting you guys and to hear some storys dont dress up just come as you are ... Thats the way jake wanted it ... He told me if he dies he wanted a party he said he did want a sad day ...... It hurts so bad not to have jake here with us but now he is with god and we ar at peace with that so come out and see us thanks again for the kind words

Rest in Peace Jake. And I am very sorry his entire family has to go through this now. It's never right.

R.I.P. Jake...i met him about 5 years ago i bought a skunk2 camber kit off him for a nice price we met off i-4 at the arbys and talked cars for awhile i used to call him for honda tech questions often he was smart and very helpfull...my thoughts and prayers go out to his family

Wow I had no clue. I just happen to have a friend from work who also knew Jake and went to his funeral, and I saw the flyer from the funeral Saturday night. This is terrible news. I have known Jake for a very long time, and we used to be pretty close back in the day when he was a die hard Honda guy. In fact, my coupe is one of Jake's old cars. Jake and I used to chill at meets and at the races etc and we really had some good times back in the day. He was a cool ass dude and would do damn near anything to help people out.
Jake, you will be truly missed, and remembered forever. Godspeed brother!
