Hello TR, I am attempting to gather a list of people who would be interested in joining me in the Florida Honda Challenge series.
Hello TR, I am attempting to gather a list of people who would be interested in joining me in the Florida Honda Challenge series.
I am still in progress of building my car for the series, (car requirements and rules listed here ( http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/Honda-Challenge.pdf ) and I plan on going through NASA to get my license while the car is being worked on. The biggest benefit to the approach I am using is that I can use my half-complete track car as my vehicle for the training and licensing sessions. This way I can take my time to get the rollcage and suspension done perfect before I actually jump into the real races.
What I would like to do is gather a group of like-minded drivers to fill out the races here in florida so we can all have fun and expand the Honda racing community here in Tampa and Central Florida.
So if you would like to race on a track, (Sebring International Raceway, Palm Beach International Raceway, Homestead Miami Speedway) or if you already have a race license and want to help me expand the HPD events, please give me a call, Pm me, send me an email, let me know you are interested, I know at least a few of you want to, and its really a lot easier than you might think to get started.

You can do the HPDE classes with any car, it doesnt need to be race prepped to get a license. At the least it would be a fun weekend learning how to road race, and that is not too expensive. I will either be taking my bone stock CRX with an LSvtec swap, or my not-quite track ready crx with a singlecam out.

I am going to be setting up my first HPDE class in the next group out at sebring after October, I dont think there is a date set up yet as far as I can tell. Want to try and get involved in the same group? It would be cool to have more than a couple of Hondas out there.

I would do it if my car is done. And depends how much it is. From what I remember, NASA is relatively fair with their prices. I've already read into and planned on working my way up through HPDE 1-4 to get a track license.

You will find about 0 honda owners on TR willing or able enough to compete in HC.
