Cops approach a car with hands on guns for two reasons....
1. They don't know who you are. or
2. They DO know who you are!

-BobI got pulled over riding in my roommates car moments after leaving the house..apparently the cops got a tip about a house on the street and they thought we came from there...waited till we rounded the corner out of sight of the house and pulled us over. I was quite pleased they were doing something worthwhile...however I really wondered why two of them approached the car, hands on guns from either side. lol

i think this just depends on the cop.. some cops are aholes.. some are cool. some do care and some dont..
once, someone stole my radar detector from my car when i had left the windows down,
so i put my windows up.. flagged a police down explained the situation ..and he started to fingerprint the windows, when i told him "there wont be any fingerprints the windows were down at the time"... he said " just let me do my job" i replied with sarcasm " if i let you do your job i wont get my radar back" .. lol

Really has nothing to do with them suspecting the car was stolen. If you were towing the car, did the car have a proper tag matching the vehicle? If not, that's the most likely situation of why your pal was pulled over. Cops do not give a shit, or have the time to chase everyones cars, especially Hondas. Trust me, I know. Had one stolen from me with more money in the engine than you could purchase a new luxury car for. They contacted me when they found the shell, and verbally said to me "we do not have time to build cases on stolen cars unless valid fingerprints can be easily identified to another person with prior convictions, then we can pursue an investigation." When your cars covered in WD40 and oil (which seems to be the common procedure) there is no further investigation.

cops are shit bags. I know cops save lifes and bust bad guys etc etc but really i feel like Fuck The Police. Not the person who is the cop the idea of them as a whole

i got pulled over by a whole bunch of asshole cops, i was leaving a drug dealers house (friend of mine) so they had probable cause so after looking in my car and finding a gun and knife they poped my hood and ran tranny and block serial numbers and came up to me asking hey do you knw your block is from and acura im like yeah and its not stolen and then gave me a ticket for bald tires since they didnt had anything to get me for ...

He didn't charge me with illegal window tint, though!
I tried to explain that I couldn't see his flashing lights
because of the window tint.
I tried to explain that all those open aluminum beer cans in the back seat
with the plastic holders and sweat still on the cans, were because I was recycling to get some spare gas money.
I tried to explain that all those guns all over the floor
were because I was thinking about going out to the range in maybe a couple of weeks.....
I tried to explain that the underage, long legged, short-shorts chick
sitting next to me was hitchiking and I was giving her a ride home so she wouldn't get picked up by some excessively horny Honda driver who
might take her to CCC for a couple hours of "mutual Illicit Flagrant delecto"
as my lawyer would later say in court..........
The good news is......
He didn't charge me with illegal window tint! -Bob
